AC synchronous motors are stepper motors that are modified to run off of AC power, to provide constant speeds and the ability to stop within a few degrees of rotation. The SYNW Series are AC synchronous motors that are have a round body and a square flange, and are available in six sizes. The smallest SYNW-055 measures 2.3 inches across the flange and offers up to 42 ounce-inches of continuous torque, while the largest SYNW-150 measures 6.14 inches across the flange and can deliver up to 1,699 ounce-inches of continuous torque. The SYNW Series is a cost-effective way to provide a large range of torque over a fixed speed. The SYNW Series comes with a matching capacitor and resistor, so that no additional driver or amplifier is required. Customization includes optimizing the maximum speed, torque, current, and/or voltage, configuring cabling, wiring, and/or connectors, and shaft modification options.
